The vessel is a 19-foot Seabreeze fibreglas outboard motor boat, built in Newfoundland in 1995. It is outfitted with an 80-HP 2-stroke Yamaha outboard. A Friend of Fundy Baykeeper is looking into raising the money to replace the motor with a less-polluting 4-stroke motor, an expensive but important goal.

In his first patrol year (summer-fall 2003), the Fundy Baykeeper carried out 42 patrols in the Passamaquoddy Bay - Deer Island area, and in the Kennebecasis Bay, Saint John
