Certificate of Appreciation Given

Environmentalist, Horst Sauerteig, was honoured at a reception held at Lily Lake hosted by the Saint John Fundy Chapter of the Conservation Council and Fundy Baykeeper. Horst was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for his work in protecting the natural environment, the social well-being of his community and the common good. Representatives from Friends of Rockwood Park and the River Road Community Alliance assisted in presenting the award. Several members of the Concerned Citizens, Unions and Small Business organization also recognized Horst for his work and dedication. In presenting the award Fundy Baykeeper, David Thompson, said, “Horst is someone who stands up and speaks up and this is not always easy to do in a community like Saint John, where Horst has been an inspiration to many”.
