Interpretive Hike - Mispec

The Saint John Chapter of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick and Fundy Baykeeper will be holding an interpretive hike in Mispec Area on Wednesday, August 13. We will be meeting at 6:30 at Mispec Park.


Explosive Devices Found in Lepreau River

Three explosive devices were found by Fundy Baykeeper Shoreline Steward Donald Austin over the weekend of August 1-3, 2008 in the non-tidal waters of the Lepreau River, approximately 1 mile above #1 Highway. For more information, please Click Here.

2008 Musquash Paddle Date Set

The Fundy Baykeeper with The Saint John Chapter of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick invites you to participate in an 11km (7 mile) canoe and kayak paddle down the Musquash Estuary on Saturday, August 16 at 11:30am. For more information Click Here and Click Here for directions.

We are also looking to borrow BBQ's for the day and seeking volunteers to help with the event. Please contact us if you can help!


Volunteers Needed

We are now beginning to plan for one of our major summer events, the Musquash Paddle, which we are planning to hold on Saturday, August 16. The event includes a BBQ at Black Beach. In order to carry out the event, we need volunteers to cook food and work at the BBQ. As well, we require the services of someone with a van and a truck.Volunteers are crucial for this event. If you can help out and commit yourself for this date, please contact Fundy Baykeeper.

First Brochure Released on New Protected Area

Conservation Council has just released a colorful brochure with lots of information for the public on how to access and enjoy the New Loch Alva Protected Area.

Baykeeper Boat Now in St. Andrews

The Baykeeper Boat has been moved from Saint John to St. Andrews and we will be doing work in Passamaquoddy Bay and around the Fundy Isles.
