First Brochure Released on New Protected Area

Conservation Council has just released a colorful brochure with lots of information for the public on how to access and enjoy the New Loch Alva Protected Area.

Volunteers Needed

We are now beginning to plan for one of our major summer events, the Musquash Paddle, which we are planning to hold on Saturday, August 16. The event includes a BBQ at Black Beach. In order to carry out the event, we need volunteers to cook food and work at the BBQ. As well, we require the services of someone with a van and a truck.Volunteers are crucial for this event. If you can help out and commit yourself for this date, please contact Fundy Baykeeper.
Saint John Fundy Chapter of Conservation Council will hold an interpretive hike in Rockwood Park at 7pm on Wednesday, June 11. People should meet by parking area adjacent former peacock garden center on Sandy Point Road (where pipeline route exits park). We will hike to visit Howe's Cave and other interesting geological features in park and have a look at what's going on. In case of rainy weather, the regular meeting of the Saint John Fundy Chapter will be held instead of the hike.
Baykeeper Boat Launched For Season - June 1, 2008

The Baykeeper Boat has been launched and will work in the Saint John area for the month of June. Boat is being docked at the RKYC in Millidgeville. Baykeeper may be looking for a volunteer crew member from time-to-time during the month of June. If you are interested, please contact David Thompson or leave a message at (506) 694-8780.
